The Reserve At Lake Keowee
Photos

...and The Reserve has added the finest amenities.

Community planners envision a family oriented community in the pristine and private 3900 acre private gated community with 30 miles of Lake Keowee shoreline. A place that hearkens back to the neighborhoods of days gone by where folks were friendly and neighbors gathered at the village. A place where parents, grandparents and children share a common ground in a lifestyle rich in the legacy of the land. A place where the outdoors could be enjoyed freely in a lifestyle that would be handed down from generation to generation. Presently, a village is emerging that is the heart of this prestigious community.  It is a place to gather and to play.  Here you will discover the clubhouse, the Pool and Racquet Club, croquet on the Great Lawn, and a Nicklaus Signature golf course.  In the future, you will find a marina, residents’ club, chapel and general store.

THE VILLAGE

The Village is the heart and pulse of the community.  It unifies the family-oriented community in many ways.  Here, neighbor meets neighbor on their way to coffee or to get their mail. Your children will delight in the open spaces, their own pool, and the sparkling waters of Lake Keowee beckons everyone to its shores.  This is the starting point for adventures and memories.  On one side of the Village stands the Orchard House, Nicklaus Signature golf course, interim fitness center, and croquet lawn; on the other end stands the lake, Pool Pavilion, and upcoming Village center.  In between is the Great Lawn that is the place to bring your children to fly a kite, spread a blanket for a Summer picnic, or gather for a concert under the stars.

Jack Nicklaus has woven each link through the amazing natural tapestry of the Blue Ridge terrain to create a course that is both challenging and enjoyable for golfers of all levels.  Mild winters ensure you’ll enjoy year-round golf, and the over-sized practice facilities, including a double-ended driving range, short game area and putting green, let you take your game to the next level.

TRAILS AND WILDLIFE

Within a radius of 75 miles, there are a million protected acres of forest! Presently there are 5.5 miles of trails within the community and more to come. Your family will be exploring the paths once walked by the Cherokee Indians and look for over 75 different varieties of birds and marvel at the waterfall as it cascades into the lake. This is land to be enjoyed both now and forever.  Over 400 acres at the Reserve have been placed in a perpetual conservation easement to preserve natural habitat for flora, fauna and wildlife.  At the headwaters of four rivers and the home to countless waterfalls, this area is a bit of paradise.  So special is this area that it is one of only two places in the world where the wild Oconee Bell flower grows.
